Pastor Olufemi & Elsie Otegbade
Pastor Olufemi Otegbade serves as the Senior Pastor of RCCG Jesus Fort, San Pablo, California, which he leads alongside his wife and faithful co-laborer in ministry, Pastor Elsie Otegbade.
Before fully stepping into pastoral ministry, Pastor Otegbade trained and practiced as a lawyer. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree and is a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Throughout his professional career, he served in various capacities including law lecturer, litigation and general practice attorney, and senior corporate legal executive. He worked as Legal Advisor, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary for major multinational companies including Texaco, Chevron, and Addax in Nigeria.
However, his highest calling has always been to the work of God. In 1991, Pastor Otegbade gave his life to Jesus Christ at RCCG Apapa Parish (Roxy Cinema, Lagos) and became one of the pioneer workers under Pastor Tony Rapu. From that moment, he embraced the demands and responsibilities of service within The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), eventually serving in various pastoral roles.
Together with Pastor Elsie Otegbade and other devoted believers, God used them to plant several RCCG parishes—many of which began in their own sitting rooms. These include RCCG Love Assembly (Cement Bus Stop, Iyana Ipaja), RCCG Promised Land (Ajah, Lekki), and RCCG The Lord’s Cedar (near Chevron, Lekki).
They also pastored RCCG Grace Assembly and RCCG Church of the Nazarene. Beyond these, they promoted the establishment of numerous other parishes across Lagos Metropolis and in remote and hard-to-reach villages throughout Nigeria.
Internationally, they supported the establishment of RCCG parishes in Canada, the Faroe Islands, Bulgaria, and the Philippines.
Pastor Otegbade’s missionary journeys and preaching engagements have taken him across Nigeria and to several nations, including Jordan, St. Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, the United Kingdom, various cities across the United States, and beyond.
In 2010, Pastor Olufemi and Pastor Elsie were promoted to serve as Pastor-in-Charge of Province for Lagos Province 24, headquartered at RCCG The Masters Court, Lekki Phase 1, overseeing more than 120 parishes. After approximately six years of fruitful leadership, in 2016 Pastor Otegbade received divine direction to hand over the flourishing province and begin a new missionary work in California. This move fulfilled a prophecy given 10–13 years earlier that he and his wife would serve as missionaries in California, USA.
With the prayers and encouragement of the General Overseer, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, they relocated to California in early 2017. On April 30, 2017, they officially launched RCCG Jesus Fort at 1651 Adeline Street in West Oakland, California.
Their passion remains unwavering: to raise men and women fully committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to release them into their God-ordained destiny as lighthouses in the midst of growing darkness.
Outside ministry, Pastor Otegbade enjoys farming, baking, cooking, and amateur building. Pastors Olufemi and Elsie Otegbade are blessed with seven children, grandchildren, and countless spiritual sons and daughters across the world.
